Homeschooling

Our sons (Em2 and AJ)
Homeschooling is an amazing thing that happened to some kids anywhere. A school that spend more time at home with the supervision of parents. Others would say that it's good but not for some especially if the parents had a hard time doing it.

For us here in another country, we have no choice! International Schools are quite expensive. So we choose to get the homeschooling program for our amazing sons because it came from our own beloved country and we have undergone a training before our kids started the program.

Em2, the eldest who's 13, wasn't excited at all because for him homeschooling is boring and no classmates around only the mother. Maybe he's bored of looking at his mom always...

Anyway, they had started and everything was fine, except that they started late 'coz they love to sleep due to heavy rain since last night until early morning. AJ loved to learn but I was amazed when AJ was crying and was telling me "I don't want to write anymore, then I knew when I checked the clock that it was already 1 pm. So I told them to rest for a while so that I can prepare their lunch.

Then we resume at 2 pm, AJ had finished his activity first before Em2, of course, Em2 is learning more this time and more time to spend. Today is rest day so they can play and do other stuff.

Bacolod is known as the city of smile. It is a small island found in the Visayas region called Negros Island. It is near to known places like Cebu, Iloilo, Guimaras, Dumaguete and Boracay (though Boracay is a bit far). But it's in the surrounding regions that Bacolod can be found.

During the month of October we usually celebrate the "Masskara Festival" where many people especially the tourists visit and take a look. And where you cound find different masskaras with different shapes and designs. According to many, people living in Bacolod are still showing their best smile even though they are carrying a lot of loads like problems and difficulties that life may bring. That's why we call it Masskara Festival.

Negros is separated from 2 provinces namely; Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental. And Bacolod is part of Negros Occidental. Around Negros Occidental, different towns have different festivals, you name it we have it! Every festival differs from each other with a unique representation of the activity, where many visitors and tourists like to visit. That's the island where we live... want to visit?

If you have some future plans, just visit http://www.bacolodcity.gov.ph/. Enjoy and have fun

New Hobby

Discovering my skills are the things I enjoy most. When I was a teacher in the Phil. I discovered my skill in cross stitching. I enjoy doing it. Then later we went to Thailand then I learned how to make bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces made of crystals. And I'm still doing it if I have time.

These past months, I was attached to make blog. My friends encouraged me to join in blogging. Now, it's my new hobby. I like writing essay or something real that happens to me, to my friends or families, for me that make sense.

Now I continue blogging and enjoying every bit of it. Writing makes me feel good. Thanks for this avenue.

My Crystal Designs

Last time I was sharing about my crystal designs and how I started doing it. And as I continue making designs I discovered a lot and enjoyed doing it.

I was able to earn when we were in the Phil. last year. What I did at first to promote my finished product was to wear it and show it to my friends especially during occasions. Then later, I shared it to some of our friends anywhere we went, then my finished products were sold one at a time. Not many were asking at first because for them, it didn't if they have or not. But when they saw me wearing it or from others, that's the time they were interested to order.

It takes time at first of course because I didn't have enough promotions. Sometimes, though I would push some of my friends to order and pay later or either within a month or two. But it helps than nothing at all, right?

Sometimes, during occasions, I gave it to some of our friends as a gift. It's also good if friends will tell other friends and gave their order, I find it interesting if I have many orders, at least I'm doing good and feeling great!
